“Truly
the
best
in
the
South!” We’ve managed our central Alabama land for plenitude over three generations, since original owners Paul and Kookie Messham first set aside hunting acreage for friends and family. Paul pioneered in wild bird management, and today our proprietary methods produce bobwhite that are indistinguishable from our native population. Multiple coveys rise in a single morning, gunning is unlimited, and you’re guaranteed a dozen birds, cleaned, packed and frozen, to take home. Trophy-size bucks are plentiful at Pa-Ko, thanks to land management and knowledgeable guides who can always put you safely where the action is. So much of our land can be hunted that every time you return, you’ll travel new terrain. Owner J. Paul Taylor customizes each hunt, including meeting special individual, group or corporate needs. Whether you opt for bow or firearms for whitetail, choose to ride horseback or by wagon for upland gunning, or want to customize by adding additional game to your hunt, we cater to your specific interests. Pa-Ko’s staff, from cooks to expert dog handlers, will cater to you too. Need kennels or advanced training for your dogs? Or a special menu, or dinner for your corporate group? You’ll know our staff on a first-name basis. They’ll feed you delicious down-home meals, but know when to disappear so you can unwind by the fire pit. Pa-Ko’s lodge is pure Old South simplicity, though with a Pro Shop for gear, and Wi-fi in the cottages. Five stands of clay bird shooting get the blood pumping. But the heart of Pa-Ko is the heart-pounding hunt you get every time you’re here. |
