Leavellwood is classic southern hunting and hospitality at its finest. Located in the famous Blackbelt Region of Alabama in Greene County, 45 miles south west of Tuscaloosa, it is the perfect place to chase big southern whitetails and wild turkeys. All the land is privately owned family property that has been in the Montgomery Family for 5 generations. The land has been under an intense deer and fishing management program since 1986 including a 1000 acre game fence to insure trophy potential. The new Alabama state record for turkey taken with a bow was recently harvested at Leavellwood scoring 73.000 and weighing over 22lbs. Leavellwood has been featured on ESPN, TNN, Outdoor Channel and OLN TV. Leavellwood also has been featured in Bassmasters Magazine and has had fishing greats such as Hank Parker, Denny Brauer, Jimmy Houston, Roland Martin, and Shaw Gilbsy, just to name a few. Leavellwood has over 20 TV shows filmed on location in the last five years.

Our dining and accommodations are designed around the total experience and our staff puts just as much effort into your meal as scouting for your hunt. A spacious and comfortable lodge constructed of Red Cedar with all rustic designs hand crafted by master craftsman, Jeff Junkin. Prop your feet up by the fire and relax or shoot a game of pool while entertaining friends or customers.

In addition to our hunting we have world class bass fishing at its finest. We manage over 100 acres of Largemouth Bass lakes that are intensely managed to produce trophy bass and bream. Our lakes are not pressured to provide great fishing and we have been under a catch and release program for over 15 years. Just bring your tackle, we provide fully rigged bass boats already on the lakes under nice boat houses with large docks with automatic fish feeder that supplement our feeding program.
