Capps Taxidermist is one of the largest and leading taxidermists in the state of Alabama. We first opened our doors in 1977. Since then we have mounted various trophies of all types and sizes. North American animals, African, and all types of exotic animals, our abilities are not limited to hour legged animals, our bird mounts are second to none. From oscalled turkeys, upland game birds, to snipes. Our quality and prices will compare to anyone.

We have been certified by the National Taxidermist Association since 1985. We are also listed as a lifetime member of the National Taxidermist Association. Don has been on the baord of directors for 10 years and Jane is a past President of the Alabama taxidermist Association. Our mounts have won numerous awards and accolades from both of the Taxidermists Associations and the S.C.I.

We would like to invite anyone to come by and view out work in our display room, which is over 4000 square foot. If you have a hunt planned please come by and we will help you plan so you can get your trophy back the best way. If you're not sure how you want your trophy mounted we can offer suggestions to assist you. Your mount is something that should last a lifetime so we will help you care for it from the time before you leave until after you receive it.

Not only do we offer the mount itself but also we can do a habitat scene to enhance the appearance of your trophy. We have done scenes such as a life size grizzly in a river catching a trout and all types of sheep on rock formations.

Customer service is something that we take great pride in. We offer delivery of African safaris or a significant amount of trophies. We will also come to your game room and discuss the best position for your mount.
